It was 45 degrees when I fired up The Bass Buggy and headed up the Dora Canal to catch some cold front BASS. I actually NEVER left the canal for the third day in a row. The bass have been hanging out in front of the numerous canals branching off of the Dora Canal. This is where I spent my day catching bass… and lots of them.

The only baits I used were the ZOOM trick worm in black and the ZOOM watermelon Fluke and they sure produced bass for me today.

I caught 20 bass today and this was a record. Previously, the most bass ever caught on my boat in one outing was 18 and this was with two fishermen on board. Today, I broke my personal record of 15 bass in one outing and just me fishing. AND of those 20, eleven of them were of legal size. Here are pictures from today’s bass… in no specific order.

Weapons of Bass Destruction…

Today’s fishing started with the cruise up the Dora Canal, to eventually arrive at this point near Banning Beach on Lake Eustis.

Since it was a cloudy kind of day, I decided to grab the rod already loaded with a ZOOM Trick Worm in black. About three casts and I had my first keeper. As the morning went on, I continued to catch bass. I tried other weapons, but always came back to the trick worm and it continued to catch a total of 8 bass today.

I tried different presentations, but all they wanted today was a slow bounce on the bottom. here are pictures of number six and seven for the day.

TODAY, the Trick Worm by ZOOM was a weapon of bass destruction… thank you to ZOOM!

Fishing with Big Dawg Fishing…

Tavares, Florida: I fish almost every day and can be reached at BigDawgFishing@yahoo.com. If you are in the area of Tavares or Eustis and want to try your luck on the Harris Chain of Lakes…EMAIL ME!  We can probably figure out a way you can fish with me.

I am not a charter captain or a professional bass fisherman, but I do catch my fair share of bass. AND I really don’t like to fish by myself all the time. You will need to bring your own equipment, etc. I do not have extra… wish I did!

Here are a couple Bass I’ve caught somewhere in the beautiful Harris Chain of Lakes…
